Listen:
“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” (John 15:12)
Reflect:
She grabbed my hand gently, “I know it is Jesus.” A middle aged widow of 7 children, Sara* has for over half her life endured peril and loss, not unlike other women within reach of our global Lifesprings’ network.
She described warmly the interactions she has had with Chand the love she experienced and observed that kept her from despair. This now includes me and the older brother in Christ from a totally different part of the world God sent to her living room to repair a window. She does not yet follow Jesus, yet nothing else makes sense to her about the story God is writing in her life.
One of the things I enjoy most about the life God has given me is joining with others who don’t share the same ethnic identity, shared history, customs, traditions but DO share a Heavenly Father, a living hope, a battle against sin, inheritance in a new Kingdom, renewed heart and mind. A new friend, Dominica said recently, “I just want to thank God. I LOVE you all!”
Prayer keeps us moving in the same direction, together. Do you know Lifesprings has our own prayer team? We listen and pray for the community, the executive team, our vision, and kingdom assignments over ZOOM on Mondays. The first Monday of each month we invite all women in our community to join the prayer team for an hour of prayer together with as many as can join.
I’ve got Love, like an ocean, in my heart!
Prayer of Response:
Father, thank you for Love. Let your Kingdom come, let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen,
Questions to Ponder:
- What was loving in my interaction with another Christ-follower this week?
- When will you return to God’s Love in Christ today?
Breath Prayer:
Inhale(Breathe in): Christ’s Love
Exhale(Breathe out): for all who believe
