Listen:
“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1)
Reflect:
As part of the Lifesprings yearly rhythm, every August we stop. We Selah (pause to reflect). We breathe.
Activities, emails, postings, meetings…. all pause as our Lifesprings community takes a Sabbath rest for 4 weeks.
The only thing not taking a breather in August is our Tuesday Together devotionals. They have been written by our Lifesprings writers in advance and are intended to encourage you in Sabbath practices each Tuesday – with reminders to pray for our community to experience deeper connection with God, peace, healing, restorative breathing during the month. During August Breather Month our focus is Psalm 23.
To get you off to a wonderful start, please pause and listen to the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir singing live: Psalm 23 (sorry if you get ads, you should be able to “skip” them!)
Prayer of Response:
Lord, You are our good Shepherd, lead us in this month of breathing with You.
