Love Never Ends!

October 20, 2026 by Ezers

Listen:

“Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.”  (1 Corinthians 13:8)

Reflect:

When we pray for patience, God allows us to walk through situations that we need to be patient. When we ask Him to help us love difficult people, He may place someone in our lives who is not easy to love. I found myself in that situation at work. I told myself God’s word, “If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them… But love your enemies, and do good” Luke 6:34-35. It’s because I am a Christian, and called to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth. I pushed myself to love that person and was being so patient, but with an inside battle and without peace.

If I am honest, it did not go well. My efforts lasted for about a week or two. God reminded me of His word when the moment of my love and my efforts finished.

“Love never ends. My child, as for prophecies, they will pass away, tongues and miraculous acts will cease, the knowledge will pass away.”

Even the things that seem permanent are temporary, if we don’t have God’s love. Do you still want to try by yourself?

My answer was, Lord, not by my limited love nor by my own understanding but by Your divine, unconditional, and eternal love, I want to try again. I was reminded once again, “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

Prayer of Response:

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe. The one who gives us His unending love, teaches us, fixes us through His word and provides a chance to try again with His love. All glory to You Lord in Your beautiful name. Amen!

Questions to Ponder:

  • What would it look like for you to choose God’s love, even when the other person does not respond the way you hope?
  • As a Christian, in what ways can we keep the prophecies alive, tongues and miracles to continue affecting the future, and knowledge to be taught and passed down through time with God’s love in our lives.

Breath Prayers:

Join us in praying breath prayers each day. We invite you to write your own as well.

Inhale (Breathe in):
Exhale (Breathe out):
